Hi there, I'm Ryan!

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based out of Southern California (Long Beach). I work with young/adult men in an individual setting as I specialize in men's issues, substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and anger issues. It is my goal to support you in getting back on track and finding your way again.

My focus

I work with teen and adult males struggling with life challenges. Talking about what's going on inside isn't easy, and my clients need a space to process, develop healthy strategies, and move forward. Common issues include relationship problems, substance use, depression, anxiety, and difficulty adjusting to life events.

My approach

I help you identify negative self-talk and faulty cognitive errors causing emotional pain. My approach provides tools and techniques to help you become the best version of yourself—happy, joyous, and free. We work together to modify thought processes, which improves feelings, behaviors, and outcomes.

My communication style

Being authentic and genuine allows me to connect with clients on a deeper level. I strive for clients to feel heard and understood at all times. I bring a very real and non-judgmental approach to therapy, which allows clients to feel safe and supported while working through challenging issues.

My journey to mental healthcare

Opening up about what's really going on inside can be very difficult, and it takes the right person to feel comfortable sharing feelings. I believe my gifts of authenticity and genuineness allow me to connect with people and help them feel comfortable opening up about what's going on with them.

We work together to develop a treatment plan by discussing what you want to achieve. Why have you sought therapy now? What do you want to work on? How will you know if therapy is working? We create solid, time-based, measurable goals with objectives and interventions, reviewing and adjusting them as needed during sessions.

In the first session, we establish rapport and explore what led you to therapy. Your decision deserves recognition. We'll discuss past therapy experiences—what worked, what didn't. We'll explore what's hard for you, then develop a treatment plan with goals and strategies to guide our path.
