I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician PMH-C. I have over 23 years of experience working with individuals, children, adolescents, families, and couples with a variety of mental health and health-related challenges. My approach to therapy is to establish a safe & trusting environment.

My focus

My focus areas are perinatal mental health, NICU admission, birth trauma, fetal medicine patients, complex medical diagnosis, general anxiety disorder, burnout, and life transitions.

I most frequently utilize the following modalities: CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and a strength-based approach. My goal is to work collaboratively with each client to develop a shared understanding of their mental health needs and work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan.

My communication style is empathetic, personable, and calm. I strive to create a safe space for each client focused on establishing and sustaining trust while maintaining a positive therapist/client rapport. My clients will feel listened to, safe, empowered, and supported.

My career has been focused on empowering and advocating for people. I've worked in various settings, which has enabled me to acquire diverse experiences helping people thrive through difficult seasons in their lives. It is rewarding to help clients develop the skills and techniques to enable them to minimize their symptoms and reach their goals.

My approach to goal setting starts with establishing rapport with the client, active listening, and working collaboratively with you to define what you want to accomplish in therapy. We will identify strengths and challenges, set goals, and track progress throughout your time in therapy.
