I have worked with the Hispanic community providing mental health services for many years. Most of my experience has been working with children and adults who have survived trauma and experienced mood disorders. I have guided individuals through crises during my work at The Trevor Project and Didi Hirsch; suicide prevention crisis line. Additionally, I have provided mental health support for those facing sexual orientation stigma within the LGBTQ+ community.
My approach
I am certified and trained in CBT, TF-CBT, Domestic Violence, Motivational Interviewing, and crisis counseling. In addition to providing individual therapy, I have also provided group therapy for victims of Domestic Violence and parenting issues, and school-based counseling.
My focus
I work with mood disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, LGBTQ+ identity issues, support for non-binary and trans individuals, relationship issues, and family conflict.
My communication style
My approach to therapy is the belief that therapy is a safe and supportive space to get to know yourself better. We work together as a team to help you feel empowered and make the changes that you want in your life.
