Hello, my name is Erika M. Rubio-Hoyt, LPCC 11691, I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to feel comfortable discussing their hurts and work toward healing. I have experience in helping clients with anxiety, depression, self-esteem/confidence, motivation, addictions, grief, and relationship issues.
My approach
The most common theoretical approaches I use consist of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavior (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Humanistic, and Client-Centered Therapy.
My focus
I feel most comfortable working with adults experiencing concerns related to anxiety, depression, personality disorders, addictions, life changes, and relationship issues.
My communication style
I provide a relaxed tone/environment to assist clients in feeling comfortable in expressing themselves. I respect colleagues and enjoy consulting with them on different topics. I consider myself fun to work with and a colleague once used the word amazing to describe working with me.
My journey to mental healthcare
On a trip to Australia, I had time to reflect on my life and when I returned home, I enrolled in a graduate program to obtain a counseling degree. I enjoy working with others from all walks of life to help them work through uncertainties, hurts/pain they have experienced and find fulfillment within themselves.
My goals for you
I utilize a collaborative approach to goal setting.
My first session with you
To be provided with unconditional positive regard, non-judgmental support, and space to discuss and process topics that are currently impacting their life.
