I became a therapist after twenty years of corporate experience and my own life challenges. I believe that compassion, honesty, and hope for self and others are needed to live an authentic life in peace.
My approach
My approach to therapy draws from cognitive behavioral (CBT), humanistic, mindfulness-based, solution-focused, psychodynamic, and narrative modalities. I use an eclectic style tailored to each individual's needs.
My focus
I am willing to see individuals struggling with anxiety, behavioral issues, bipolar disorder, depression, divorce, family conflict, grief, life transitions, stress, trauma, and PTSD. I find working with individuals, couples, and families who are motivated to live their life fully is honorably rewarding.
My communication style
I communicate with compassion and honesty to help you change your thinking, attitudes, behaviors, or relationships. It takes a lot to change the way you have lived and cope with your life, but together we can find hope.
My journey to mental healthcare
After twenty years in the corporate world facing my own life challenges, I could no longer ignore my emotional pain. I felt trapped, exhausted, under-appreciated, and resentful. This motivated me to change my life by becoming a therapist to help others live authentically and find peace.
My goals for you
My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space for you to explore your challenges, gain new insights and coping skills, and make positive changes to live a more fulfilling life. I will meet you with empathy and work collaboratively with you to achieve your therapeutic goals.
My first session with you
In our first session, we will discuss what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. I will ask about your background, current situation, and any symptoms you are experiencing. This will help me understand your unique needs and develop a personalized treatment plan. You can ask me any questions you have about my approach and what to expect from our work together.
