With a natural curiosity and appreciation for cultural considerations, I approach life with a driven sense of purpose. I strive to create a warm and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable expressing yourself. When appropriate, I like to incorporate humor and laughter into our sessions. I am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
My journey to mental healthcare
Prior to becoming a marriage and family therapist, I worked as a stand-up comedian. My passions for dinosaurs, animals, and making people laugh, even for free, led me to pursue a career in mental healthcare. Over the past 10 years, I have worked in various settings, including nonprofit organizations, outpatient substance abuse facilities, crisis on-call agencies, and the judicial system.
