My communication style

I strive to offer compassion, kindness, patience, understanding, and consistency. I think I'm a pretty easy person to talk with, but I can also gently challenge if necessary. I hold the vulnerability and trust you put in me very highly. I see our relationship as a joint process, and hopefully communicate that in all of our interactions.

My journey to mental healthcare

As a young adult, I had a therapeutic relationship that truly changed my life, and I've patterned my career after that example. I needed someone to believe in me until I could believe in myself. That philosophy has guided me, and I hope I've accomplished that. I look forward to assisting you in your journey.

My goals for you

I see my role as believing in you and supporting you as we work together to remove barriers so your life can be more of what you want. After getting a sense of what you're desiring, I offer feedback, and together we decide on treatment areas and their hierarchy, with flexibility as needed.

Our first session

I know how difficult it can be to reach out for support. I hope in our first session you will feel heard and seen. I gather information about what you're communicating and take thorough notes. I'll share issues I've heard as treatment areas and, if warranted, offer immediate goal setting.
