I am a clinical psychologist licensed in Fresno, California, since 2016. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA, and specialize in mindfulness-based therapies.
My approach
My approach is grounded in the belief that change arises from combining three key elements: a positive therapeutic relationship between therapist and client, the client's motivation for personal growth and insight, and the therapist's expertise in employing proven techniques while gently challenging the client.
My focus
I work with individuals and couples, helping them develop coping skills, navigate career and relationship issues, build self-esteem, and manage stress. I utilize therapies including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based approaches, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
My communication style
I aim to foster open, direct communication in a supportive environment. My style balances active listening and collaboration with sharing insights to help clients gain new perspectives. I adapt my approach to each \'s needs.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have provided therapy to clients in numerous settings on my journey in mental healthcare, including private practice, Kaiser Permanente, community mental health, and California State Prison. My clinical hours for licensure spanned from September 1, 2011 to June 30, 2013.
