My communication style

I know it's important to use a voice that is supportive, non-judgmental, and soothing to help clients feel safe, understood, and valued. I work hard to create a trusting therapeutic relationship, encourage openness, and foster a sense of security, especially when addressing sensitive topics like trauma or emotional pain.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always had a passion for helping others. I spent several years supporting families as they grew their families with adoption and maneuvered through the process. I realized that I enjoyed supporting families and children through such a wonderful, yet complex, time of their lives. I have worked with clients as they work through complex trauma.

My goals for you

I work with my client to develop their goal, while we break it down into achievable steps. We work together on understanding the importance of this goal to help support them as they work towards achieving their goal. I check in to acknowledge if adjustments to the goal are needed as we work towards it.

Our first session

During our first session, clients can expect that I will set a warm and welcoming tone. I will spend some time getting to know them and exploring what they would like to get out of therapy and how I can support that.
