Hi there, I'm Elyse!

Hello! Thank you for checking out my bio, (It was the dreads, wasn't it?) I have been practicing therapy for 7 years, been in the mental health field for 12 years, I am an Army Veteran, ex-Special Ed teacher, and so many things! I am here to help you find yourself a new happy and overcome whatever you are facing. My specialties are Trauma, specifically Sexual trauma, I work with victims of crime as well for multiple counties, I am certified to treat Eating disorders, OCD, and Anxiety through the Beck Institute as well. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! There really isn't anything I won't tackle because therapy is a partnership, as long as we have a good relationship and a motivation to do difficult things, we can accomplish anything. I hope to get the gift of knowing you and your story and helping rewrite it into an even more beautifully transformative one. One Love!

My approach

I draw upon a diverse therapeutic toolkit, tailoring my approach to your unique needs. Some key modalities I utilize include Existentialism, DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, Emotion Coaching, Gottman Method, Psychodynamic therapy, Intuitive Eating, Attachment theory, and Somatic therapies.

My focus

I specialize in supporting individuals, couples, families, and adolescents aged 13-17 with a wide range of concerns. These include sexual trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, grief, and major life transitions, among many others.

My communication style

My communication style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, validated, and empowered to grow. Expect me to be your compassionate, silly, educational ally on this journey of healing and self-discovery.

My journey to mental healthcare

After 9-11, I felt called to this field, especially after my experience with the Military. Being a Special Ed teacher opened my eyes to the needs of the parents' marriages, and so many more things, I was born to serve and empathetically support people in their path to their strengths and desires.

My goals for you

My ultimate goal is for you to gain greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and the practical tools to navigate life's ups and downs with grace. I want you to feel empowered in your relationships, work, and inner world. Together, let's uncover your innate strengths and craft the vibrant life you deserve.

My first session with you

In our first session, we'll dive into what's bringing you to therapy and explore your hopes for our work together. I'll take time to really get to know you, your story, and your unique personality. From there, we'll begin mapping out a tailored treatment plan to help you heal, grow, and thrive. You can expect to feel deeply seen, heard, and supported from day one.
