My name is Lawanda Hoyle and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work. My clinical practice is tailored to the individual needs of each client that I treat. I focus on helping clients to identify unhealthy thought patterns in order to achieve balance in their lives. I pride myself on providing individuals with the necessary skills to allow them the ability to cope with life's challenges.
My approach
I incorporate a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, grief counseling, substance abuse counseling, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and client/person centered therapy. I am also solution focused and have the ability to help clients problem solve barriers that arise.
My focus
I have worked with individuals with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse issues in a both the inpatient and outpatient setting. I am comfortable and have experience in treating those with anxiety, depression, PTSD, gender identity issues, eating disorders, phobias, trauma, and addiction. I am also very comfortable and enjoy working with individuals from the LGBTQIA community.
My communication style
My focus is to help individuals re-discover lost hope, and become aware of their inner strengths. This is fostered by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and collaboratively customizing a treatment plan. I believe that you are the expert of your life and hope to join you in discovering the skills necessary to live the life that you want to live.
