Hi there, I'm Elizabeth!

I hope these words find you in a good way. My name is Elizabeth A. Guerra, LCSW, and it is with great care and compassion that I invite you into space. As a survivor of many life adversities and challenges myself, I understand that healing and understanding oneself is unique to each individual and is rooted in our ways of knowing.

My focus

I take a holistic approach to my work and integrate lived experiences, including environmental and intergenerational, to support the healing journey of self-exploration. I meet you where you're at and build off of your strengths and ways of knowing to meet your goal. I honor your story and invite you to bring your full, authentic self into space.

My approach

I take a strength and resilience-based approach in holding space, which is centered on empathy and compassion. My intentions are to create a safe space for you to offer your goals and intentions. We will work together in creating a space that feels grounding and empowering for you to walk this road of self-discovery and healing.

My communication style

I center myself with empathy and compassion and offer good intentions in space. Healing requires the system to feel safe and supported, and I hold this with care and a deep understanding. I will meet you in space with kindness and warmth and invite you to explore your inner world at your own pace.

My journey to mental healthcare

I'm a Chicana and first-generation clinician from Oakland with roots from Guadalajara Mexico & Yaqui ancestry. I am an artist, poet, and healer within my circle and practice traditional plant medicine and other ways of knowing which were taught to me by my Elders. These roots guide my path as a healer and are my foundation in how I cultivate space.

My goals for you

I integrate your strengths, ways of knowing, and somatic interventions to support restoring the mind-body connection. I will work with you in cultivating coping skills and self-care practices that align with you and your full self. It is with these intentions that we will work towards finding balance within self as you walk your path of healing.

Our first session

My intentions are to create a safe and warm environment to build rapport to learn about your goals and life path. Feeling grounded in space is an important factor in working with one another and it is my hope to build this foundation in the initial session. We will work together in cultivating a landing space for you to process, explore and center.
