Hi there, I'm Christyn!

My passion is partnering with adults and couples who have encountered seasons in their lives that need exploration and healing. My experience is with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and those navigating PTSD and other trauma related diagnoses.

My focus

Before becoming a therapist I served 21 years in the Army and I have worked in law enforcement and for the court systems. I specialize in providing support to military, veterans, first responders, and their families.

My approach

Therapy is a partnership in which we navigate reasonable goals and expectations. Our partnership will utilize an integrative approach to healing, blending mindfulness with evidence-based interventions and artistic therapies.

My communication style

Communication is a two way street and creating a safe space will take input from both of us. Feedback is important and welcomed. Humor and directness are highly appreciated.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was drawn to becoming a provider when I worked for a Probation Department. I was very unhappy with the limited resources the county had for its clientele. I became close with our therapy team and decided I was in the wrong corner of my client's journey.

My goals for you

My clients are provided with guidance and support throughout their journey and taught important skills to assist in forming and maintaining their new normal.

Our first session

During our first session, we will complete a mental health assessment, which involves a lot of personal questions. This session can feel overwhelming and sometimes is broken into two sessions. I guide each client through with a gentle and direct approach so we can immediately get started on your healing journey.
