Hi I am Vanessa Mendoza. I am an LCSW in practice since 2016. I currently specialize in working with people going through life transitions.
My approach
I adopt an eclectic therapeutic approach. Some of my most used approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused, and strength-based.
My focus
I work with individuals struggling with adjustment disorder, depression, and anxiety. Work with immigrant population, in addition, I enjoy working with first-generation individuals.
My communication style
Open line of communication. I encourage my clients to provide feedback regarding the care they are receiving. I look at our work as a partnership where together we can come to a solution together.
My journey to mental healthcare
I believe that with support we can all work towards achieving our potential. I enjoy walking with individuals through challenging periods of time and seeing them grow despite the challenges.

Discuss what the reason they are coming in for. Data gathering. Obtain information regarding office policies. Inquiry about what goals they want to set.
