Hello, I am Christopher Ruper, LMFT130943. I focus on treating clients with symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma. I have a Person-Centered approach, I also utilize ACT, CBT, and EMDR for trauma.
My approach
I provide my clients with a safe therapeutic environment through the use of empathy and warmth. I assist clients with identifying thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; while assisting them with finding a healthy balance and living life according to their values. I use EMDR to assist clients in processing traumatic experiences and finding resolutions to those experiences.

My communication style

When establishing treatment goals I use a collaborative approach with clients and make sure goals are relevant and meaningful to clients.
My first session with you
The first session is a time for clients and I to start getting to know each other. I will cover a few important items related to the use of telehealth and informed consent. Typically, the first session involves an assessment and treatment planning to give me a better idea of what the client's expectations of therapy are.
