I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California and Nevada. As a true warrior for people struggling with mental health challenges, I am here to walk with you on this therapeutic journey to find meaning and your authentic self!
My approach
I view challenges through the lens of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I assist clients in developing insight and awareness into distorted thinking patterns. My approach is person-centered, allowing me to quickly connect with people regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, and culture.
My focus
I work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, divorce, domestic violence, drug abuse, dual diagnosis, grief, life transitions, men's issues, mood disorders, psychosis, relapse prevention, self-esteem, self-harming, sexual abuse, sleep or insomnia, substance use, suicidal ideation, trauma and PTSD, women's issues, and older adults.
My communication style
My communication style is direct yet compassionate, fostering an open and non-judgmental safe space. I work to understand your unique perspective to ensure I grasp the heart of your concerns. The process involves working collaboratively to clarity and establish the goals of therapy.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was a Human Resources Manager for 25 years and found myself wanting to help others. I returned to college and earned my Master of Science (MS) degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, where I studied Marriage and Family Therapy from April 2011 to July 2014.
My goals for you
My goal is to collaborate with you, provide insight, and challenge distorted thinking patterns that cause negative, repetitive and destructive behaviors.
