My communication style

My foundational approach to therapy is one of respect, dignity, humor, and hope. I have found therapy can often be overwhelming and stigmatizing for some, and it is my goal to make the process of healing as genuine and natural as possible.

My journey to mental healthcare

I began my career in healthcare working as an EMT in a busy hospital emergency department, and discovered therapy as my calling via working with those in crisis.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting is client-centered, collaborative, and egalitarian. I view therapy as a client-driven process facilitated by the therapist. I tailor my level of intervention relative to the needs of the client.

I view the first session as an opportunity for the client to determine whether my approach and presence will be a good fit.
