My approach is strengths-based and recovery-focused. I draw on my own life experience as well as my education and work experiences to help you move forward.

My focus

I enjoy working with clients who are in various stages of substance use recovery. I will never give up on a client when it comes to achieving sobriety and the life that awaits you. I am also very comfortable with older adults who are navigating the journey of retirement and aging.

My approach

I am a solution-focused therapist who strives to assist my clients in feeling better. Feeling better can be achieved through increased productivity, insight, and a newfound understanding of oneself, and by learning about our true strengths. I can help you with this by challenging old negative beliefs and encouraging you to believe in your strengths

My communication style

I'm a good listener who enjoys exploring your life journey to understand who you are and how you got here. I'm direct and exploratory in understanding you, working collaboratively to build trust and move toward solutions.

My journey to mental healthcare

I am a recovering addict/alcoholic, and once sober, I returned to school to become a social worker. I fully embrace social work and believe that everyone has value and dignity. I have worked in many different settings and have seen the benefits of therapy for individuals who need to believe in themselves.

You set the pace initially with your goals. I'll then suggest short-term and longer-term goals that show progress and improvement as we navigate changes together.
