My communication style

I seek to create comfortable, conversational communication with clients where you feel you are being heard and seen. I am fairly non-directive as I believe we all the have ability to develop our own answers to questions with some prompting and gentle guidance.

My journey to mental healthcare

I went back to school to study social work in my 30s when I determined that the career I built in business and marketing was not well suited to my personality. I enjoy teaching others the value of being kinder to themselves as it then translates to kinder adults, families, and communities.

My goals for you

We will set initial goals fairly early on in the process based on what changes you would like to see in your life. However, goals can change and emerge at any point so my focus is on flexibility and adapting to current situations.

Our first session

In your first session, we will try to get to know each other a bit and determine if we have the potential to work well together. I will ask several questions to get a sense of how things are going for you currently but will also tell you a little more about myself and my approach to working together.
