My communication style

I believe building rapport is important for treatment. I take time to get to know my clients and build trust. I encourage my clients to verbalize what is working and what is not to provide individualized treatment.

My journey to mental healthcare

As a Mexican DACA recipient woman, it's important to me to provide representation and services my clients can identify with. My passion is providing culturally appropriate services in Spanish. I'm driven when patients share experiences that impacted their lives but were afraid to discuss due to their legal status.

My goals for you

Goal setting is based on my clients' needs. I discuss their goals for treatments to create a baseline and reflect on whether the therapy approach is effective.

Our first session

In the first session, clients should expect to review limits of confidentiality, mandating reporting, communication for the session, the reason for therapy, and the goals.
