My experiences in community mental health showed me how many people struggle without needed support, and I wanted to make a difference. Becoming a mental health therapist allows me to help others share their stories, build resilience, and develop coping skills so they can heal and create lasting change in their lives.
My focus
I work with individuals who are coping with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, life transitions, and personal growth. I've discovered that my approach works well for helping individuals learn to challenge negative thoughts, regulate emotions, manage distress, communicate effectively, and stay present in the moment mindfully.
My approach
I was trained as a psychodynamic therapist and focus on exploring the unconscious mind and past experiences to understand their influence on current behavior and emotions. I take a person-centered approach and pull from different treatment modalities, from CBT to motivational interviewing, tailoring therapy to best serve each individual.
