My name is Lisa Nave and I've been a licensed MFT for 25 years, primarily in private practice. I have a collaborative approach to therapy and tailor my interventions to meet each client's individual needs.
My approach
We all need a compassionate witness to help us process and make meaning of our lives. With over 25 years of experience, I support clients in becoming more self-aware while exploring the dynamics, situations, and patterns that cause them suffering. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and individuation of the authentic self. I help clients to integrate the insights and tools gained in therapy into their daily lives empowering them to navigate ongoing challenges.
My focus
I work with individuals with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and life transitions.
My communication style
I create a safe, empathic environment for my clients. My goal is to cultivate trust and alignment within the therapeutic relationship, thereby enabling clients to process their emotions and issues freely and at their own pace.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was always drawn to the arts and humanities when I was young. And while I first studied art in college, I soon decided that I wanted to support people in their healing. I believe that we all come into the world with unique gifts and an unlimited capacity to grow into the people we long to become. It's my privilege to support and guide people along this path.
My goals for you
I collaborate with clients on goal setting. Depending on their specific needs, I will consistently guide and support them in overcoming challenges and maintaining progress.
My first session with you
During the first session, we will discuss a client's needs and goals for therapy and begin building a safe and supportive rapport.
