My communication style

I always want clients to feel empowered to make their own decisions. I have been told by clients and in my personal life that I am a good listener. I come from a place of curiosity and want to get to know the client and what they are thinking and feeling.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been interested in people, so in undergrad I studied history and psychology. Empowering others to do for themselves, helping others see their potential, and reflectively listening have always been my natural helping style. Seeing clients' pride in themselves and their growth keeps me going in this field!

My goals for you

I let the client lead this. If a client wants more precise and measurable goals, we can take the time to identify them. I am also ok with clients leaving it less formal.

Our first session

The first session or two may be a bit more question-heavy and focused on getting more background and history from the client. This is in the hopes of forming a fuller picture of who the client is. I am also open to clients asking me questions, as the first few sessions are also about the client deciding if I am the right fit for them.
