Hi there, I'm Eufemio!

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with bilingual skills and a multicultural background, I bring a diverse perspective to my work in mental healthcare. I have experience facilitating group and individual therapy sessions, employing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and other Cognitive Behavioral Therapy models to treat an array of mental health conditions, including substance abuse and relationship issues. I invite you to work with me in a collaborative relationship to acquire new tools, and discover new insights that might produce the change you are looking for.

My approach

My approach to therapy relies on the premise of collaboration and trust to begin with a strong therapeutic alliance. I find it essential to engage in a non-judgmental approach, using a curious stance and Socratic dialogue to elicit elaboration of salient issues as new insights are uncovered. Psycho-education is a key component of my approach to therapy providing the necessary tools enhancing skills while working on the identified goals.

My focus

My time and dedication is working with adults experiencing a wide range of issues, including relationship issues, substance use, ADHD, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, codependency, depression, dual diagnosis, family conflict, grief, impulsivity, infidelity, job stress, LGBTQIA+ matters, life transitions, men's issues, mood disorders, OCD, parenting challenges, personality disorders, school issues, self-esteem, self-harm, stress, substance use, trauma, and PTSD.

My communication style

My communication style is centered around creating a collaborative and trusting relationship. I aim to foster open dialogue, actively listen to your concerns, and provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions. Through empathy, understanding, and gentle guidance, we will work together to uncover insights and develop strategies for growth and healing.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to mental healthcare began with a deep desire to help others navigate life's challenges and find a path to wellness. I earned my Master's in Counseling from the University of Phoenix, driven by a passion for understanding the human experience and facilitating positive change. Throughout my career, I have served in various roles, including working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. These experiences have shaped my holistic approach to therapy, recognizing the unique needs of each individual.

My goals for you

My goals for you are to provide a supportive environment where you feel heard, validated, and empowered. Together, we will work to identify and understand the root causes of your concerns, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and build resilience. I aim to equip you with the tools and insights necessary to overcome obstacles, foster personal growth, and cultivate a greater sense of well-being. Through our collaborative efforts, I hope to help you achieve your goals, find balance, and lead a more fulfilling life.
