Hi there, I'm Robert!

I work with adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, and grief. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help my clients understand what is happening, develop better ways to manage it, and feel more in control of their reactions.

My focus

I find that my style fits well with adults struggling with grief, anxiety, depression, or stress. I can help them feel more grounded and in control of their choices.

My approach

I tend to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as a foundation because they work well to help people understand and alter their responses to stressors. I will also use elements of Solution-Focused and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy when people are feeling stuck or powerless to change a situation.

My communication style

I tend to be direct and honest. If I don't think a plan will work, I will tell you. At the same time, I am always on your side. People find that they can trust me because I will not just tell you what feels good to hear, but will help you to be a better person and reach your goals.

My journey to mental healthcare

I find it very meaningful work to help people find their strength and use that to improve their relationships, accept themselves, and enrich their lives. I cannot imagine anything else that would be as satisfying as sharing this journey with people.

I would want to understand what you are trying to improve, what you have tried already, and what led up to the place you are in now. Having this understanding will help me to guide you to goals that can be reached, meaningful, satisfying, and sustainable.
