My communication style

My hope is that you feel deeply seen, heard, and understood. I work to create an environment where you feel compassionately held while also having a sensitive guide aligning with you to do the deep work of healing and change. It takes courage and vulnerability to participate in therapy, and I hold you and what is shared in sacred regard.

My journey to mental healthcare

What brought me to becoming a therapist was my own experience in therapy. It was a crucial and life-changing experience for me as a fellow traveler and human trying to heal. I was so impacted by it that I felt moved to work to pay it forward.

My goals for you

I like to get as clear of an understanding as possible of what it is you are looking to accomplish in therapy and then work collaboratively with you to set what are known as SMART goals so that there is a shared understanding between us of what we will be working on together and a clear endpoint to the process as well.

Our first session

In the first session, I want to start getting to know you and establishing a sense of what brought you to seek therapy. I would also review informed consent and answer any questions you might have about me or the process. I want to give you an opportunity to feel out if I might be a good fit for you.
