I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working in various settings, including medical facilities, and outpatient clinics, providing case management to diverse client populations. As a clinician, I strive to provide a safe environment for my clients where they can discuss their unique life challenges. I like to help my clients gain essential insight and learn new skills so they can successfully navigate through challenges and remove obstacles to achieve their goals.
My approach
I use a client-centered approach in therapy where we focus on identifying and enhancing current strengths, coping skills, resources, and support systems. Some of the most commonly used treatment modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Strength Base, and the Eclectic approach.
My focus
My preferred clients are the ones needing life coaching, experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship problems, and general life stress.
My communication style
I typically use active and empathic listening in therapy to understand what clients' needs are at that moment.
My journey to mental healthcare
I always had a passion for empowering people to live their best life.
My goals for you
I encourage all of my clients to start with one or two SMART(specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-based) goals. Progress is usually noticeable once clients are able to see a reduction of symptoms, improvement in functioning, and an increase in life satisfaction.
My first session with you
The first session is usually an introduction. I like to learn about the client and also let the client know about me and my therapeutic approaches. Typically in the first session, we decide how to move forward with therapy. I help the client come up with a goal and determine the frequency of therapy.
