Hi, my name is Jeremiah Hein, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) 109687. My approach to therapy is meeting you where you're at and assisting you achieve your life goals and helping you live the most meaningful life possible in what that means to you. I help people process unresolved trauma, depression, anxiety, in order to improve mood, relationships, and the stress we encounter in this ride we call life.
My approach
My approach to therapy is an eclectic one where I bring together several of the theoretical approaches that I use in my work as well as taking into account your experience in therapy in the past. I tend to lean toward using CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), MI (Motivational Interviewing), SFT (Solution Focused Therapy), psychodynamic, as well as others.
My focus
I work with all kinds of clients mainly ranging from the ages of 18-65. I help people process unresolved trauma and cope with anxiety, depression, as well as interpersonal distress and stress from work, relationships, etc.
My communication style
I have a very friendly tone when I speak with you and create an environment of care, compassion, and empathy. Working with me feels like working with someone you know and are familiar with. We will develop rapport naturally to where you will feel comfortable being vulnerable with me and allowing me to know details of your life that will help me help you.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist because when I was younger, a therapist helped me process some unresolved trauma and I was so much better for it. I wanted to help others how I was helped.
My goals for you
Goal setting with clients is private, personal, and individual. There is not one size fits all so we will approach goal setting this way.
My first session with you
In the first session, we will get to know each other and what brings you to therapy, as well as see if we both are a good fit for each other. We won't dive into anything really deep, just scratching the surface and making you feel comfortable.
