My communication style

My facility is lovely, peaceful, and tranquil. I calmly listen with acceptance and hear my clients via telehealth or in person. I developed, and I practice the "Three R's", i.e., a Respectful, Relaxed, and Responsive interaction. Most importantly, I offer Integrity, Trust, and Tools for change.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been interested in and excited by the concept of personal growth and positive change, and how to navigate successfully the challenges life brings. I began my journey at Chapman University, via its Psychology Program and Community Mental Health Clinic, then on to clinics where I interned/learned all aspects of the therapy journey.

My goals for you

Treatment goals are the basis for clients wanting real change. I look at thoughts, environmental impact, relationship patterns, core "schemas" (belief systems developed and maintained over time), and more, so we know together what to work on and change. Goals are evaluated every 12 weeks to assess client satisfaction.

Our first session

Each session typically begins with "Tell me a little bit about yourself and what brought you into treatment at this time." When some clients are "not sure", I begin with "start wherever you think it's important." There are no pressures or "have to's". I also ask each client what he or she would like to gain if therapy turns out to be "successful".
