Hello, my name is Linda Alcala, I am a Bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been in the mental health field for over eight years and have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, & the elderly, with a variety of challenges and mental health illnesses. I provide different treatment approaches; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Narrative, Client-Centered, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
My approach
I provide various treatment approaches based on the need of each client. I will provide a warm and welcoming space where the client will feel safe and able to talk about their challenges. I strongly believe that when given the right atmosphere, support, and tools, a person can overcome challenges.
My focus
I work with clients who struggle with issues such as relational issues, experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, bipolar and other challenges. I also work with single parents and individuals who are going through a chronic illness or those clients who might have a family with a chronic illness. I enjoy working with adults in helping guide them to self-clarity. I have experience working with families, parents, and children with open Child Family Services and victims of sexual abuse.
My communication style
I create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for my clients to share their stories. A place where they feel safe and comfortable enough to talk openly about their struggles and challenges that are disrupting their life.
My journey to mental healthcare
My interest in becoming a therapist started in High School and grew stronger as years went by and I began to face life challenges. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, my main goal is to help individuals grow from their struggles, heal from their pain, and move forward and get them to a place where they want to be in life.
My goals for you
I work collaboratively with my clients to find the right treatment plan and treatment goals. Together we will work collaboratively to try to meet those treatment goals and get the client to a place they want to be in life.
My first session with you
Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. A place where clients have taken the first step towards healing. It's a place where clients are able to share why they are seeking treatment and collaboratively begin creating a plan toward healing.
