Hi there, I'm Laura!

I'm Laura Barragan a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in community mental health, school-based mental health, and the private sector. My areas of focus are around women's mental health.

My approach

When working with my patients, I approach therapy with a humanistic, client-centered approach. Our work is collaborative and I welcome your feedback throughout our sessions. I look forward to working with you on your journey of self-discovery and wellness.

My focus

My experience ranges from children to geriatrics. I treat general mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and life transitions.

Throughout our work, I encourage active participation and engage patients in treatment planning and goal development.

My first session with you

In the first therapy session, you will have an opportunity to ask questions and get to know me. We will also discuss what brought you to therapy and begin to discuss goals. During the assessment phase, I use a biopsychosocial lens when gathering information about your life and background.
