Hi there, I'm Sandra!

I work with adults to improve their quality of life. Using Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I help clients increase awareness and develop positive thinking and behavior patterns that support lasting change.

My focus

I enjoy working with clients around the balance of life to improve the overall quality of all domains. I expose the client to interpersonal skills, psych education around setting boundaries and expectations when doing and processing, and explore faulty expectations that may get in the way of having peace and calmness in our lives.

My approach

I begin with Motivational Interviewing to build awareness and assess where you are. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we identify and explore situations from all angles to decrease stress. With Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, we accept our thoughts while learning to control our behaviors.

My communication style

My communication style is calm, accepting, and open. I use affirmation, encouragement, and validation to increase positive behavior patterns and provide an open space to talk.

My journey to mental healthcare

I started as a Behavior Interventionist working with youth and families. I've worked with adolescents and young adults in substance abuse treatment and continue supporting incarcerated youth around suicide ideation. My passion is helping people improve their quality of life.
