My name is Richard Ibrahim and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Riverside, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with young adults and older using a holistic approach to help my clients make progress and improve their quality of life.
My approach
As each individual is unique, I tailor my approach to therapy based on the needs of the client. I use a variety of modalities to survey which concepts address the client's needs and which are a catalyst for client improvement.
My focus
I typically work with clients who are young adults or older, but I started my MFT career working with adolescent clients in high school. Through much education and experience, I am familiar with working with clients of various cultures, gender, ages, and environments. I feel comfortable treating various mental illnesses, such as Mood disorders (Anxiety, stress, panic attacks, Depression, Bipolar, anger), Psychotic disorders (Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, delusions, paranoia, hallucinations), and other afflictions (trauma, grief, adjustment, addiction).
My communication style
My communication style is endearing, calm, and personable. My goal is to create a safe, judgement-free environment that encourages honesty and vulnerability. I believe that we are susceptible to the greatest change when we are honest and vulnerable with ourselves.
