Hi there, I'm Christina!

My experience is in working with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, doing community work. I have supported those experiencing domestic violence, family conflict, homelessness, trauma, crisis, relationship difficulties, and other challenges.

My focus

I enjoy working with adults who are seeking to improve their relationships with either others or within themselves, and who are seeking to identify how previous experiences are creating patterns that are no longer serving them. I am also LGBTQ+ affirming.

My approach

My approach is led by my belief that there is an inherent inclination in everyone toward growth, and you have the answers you seek already within you. I see my role as supporting you to discover those answers, using a relational, client-centered, and trauma-focused approach. I am also flexible in adapting how I work to what works best for you.

My communication style

My communication style is flexible and changes to meet the needs of those I'm working with. I strive to be transparent in my work, as well as collaborative. I intend to show up as authentically as I can, which sometimes means infusing humor into sessions. Integrity is also a strong value of mine that comes across in the way I communicate.

My journey to mental healthcare

This profession has always felt more like a calling than a choice. I grew up, like most people with challenges, and forging my own path toward healing was transformative and is still an ongoing pursuit. I am constantly humbled at being able to do this work and support others in their own healing.

My goals for you

Everyone that I have ever worked with has had a unique journey to reaching their goals. For some, it has been helpful to learn concrete tools to help improve their ways of coping; for others, growth has looked more like exploring with curiosity different areas of stuckness and imagining what could be possible for their future.

Our first session

The first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you and to get a sense of you as a whole person, not just the reason you are seeking therapy at this time. I ask questions to help start to get a sense of the goals we can accomplish together, as well as the surrounding factors impacting the reason you're seeking support.
