My communication style

I have a gentle, friendly, but direct communication style. I am an active listener who enjoys using humor and finding the positive side in all aspects of life. I respect that not all people find it easy to communicate, and I adapt my style based on the individual.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey as a mental health therapist began later in life. My son was diagnosed with a developmental disability at a young age. I found very little support or someone to understand how my son's life impacted my emotional and mental well-being as I was trying to help him. I have come to believe in the power of the therapeutic process.

My goals for you

Reaching goals is a collaborative effort, but I respect that clients are the experts in their lives. I can help identify what the barriers are that prevent clients from reaching their goals. I work with my clients in learning and practicing coping skills to help with emotional regulation. I help identify specific, measurable, and achievable goals.

Our first session

In our first session, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment. I will work on building a trusting, safe place for you in which you will be seen, heard, and understood. I hope to provide a space in which you can be yourself without feeling any judgment. We will explore history, background, and current information.
