My name is Carla Zorko and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California and see clients via telehealth. I am currently seeing adult clients who are struggling with issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life transitions, including women of all ages but not exclusively.
My approach
I use primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness practices but I am able to adapt using a variety of other tools when appropriate. I believe our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are intertwined, and working through each can bring progress.
My focus
I work with many adults who struggle with issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I also connect well with women who are struggling with various transitions in life, including both young adults and mature women besides those in between.
My communication style
My sessions are calm and respectful. I want to listen and help to clarify why you chose this moment to seek therapy. I want to learn about you and your reality as we grow our therapeutic relationship.
My goals for you
I use a collaborative style while we work to set goals that will help you find relief and gain skills. We will use what skills you bring in and build on them to meet your goals.
My first session with you
We will begin by going over what you hope to achieve in therapy. I listen with empathy and in a non-judgmental way. I also believe therapeutic homework, when we agree on it, can keep the momentum set in the therapy session.
