My communication style

I communicate directly, transparently, and in a non-judgmental manner. You should feel safe and supported during our sessions. We will visit and revisit your therapy goals throughout our work together, recognizing successes and areas for continued growth. I also appreciate a good joke and occasional humor.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always enjoyed helping people. Caring about people with mental health issues, addictions, and poor decision-making, whether ourselves or others, is common in our world. Seeing people grow and succeed inspires my work.

My goals for you

While some clients know their goals when entering therapy, others are less certain. We will work to build trust and put words to your goals by identifying your strengths, skills, and areas that will benefit from growth and change.

Our first session

We will spend the majority of our first session discussing you and what brought you to therapy. If your reasons are not yet clear, we will develop an initial understanding of broader goals and intentions. I will ask you questions to get a sense of your needs and style. We will collaborate on building trust and rapport and determining next steps.
