My communication style

I enjoy working with clients collaboratively and discussing what are the goals of each individual. I am an active clinician and engage my clients to feel safe by building trust and comfort when discussing topics that may be uncomfortable, or possibly this is the first time ever discussed.

My journey to mental healthcare

I grew up in a fabulously dysfunctional family that was impacted by addiction, mental illness, and grief. I decided to take these circumstances and all the tools that I have gained personally and professionally, and work with others to empower them to grow through such difficult times.

My goals for you

With my client-centered approach, it is helpful to discuss the goals of each client. I provide information, education, and treatment goals that can be applied throughout our sessions. I assess the goals and, if needed, adjust the tools needed to achieve these goals.

Our first session

During the first session, an introduction for both the client and therapist is provided. Space and time for each client to share the circumstances that have arisen that have brought them to therapy, and what might be some of the expectations of clinical work together.
