As a Chicanx Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, born and raised in Los Angeles, I am passionate about combining therapy with intention and intuition to help BIPOC-identified individuals learn new ways of healing and growing. My aim is to provide a safe and open space for vulnerability and transformation in each session.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, working closely with clients to process, challenge, and heal from their experiences while preparing them for future adversities. I draw upon my expertise in narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, seeking safety, interpersonal therapy, and feminist therapy to tailor sessions to each client's unique needs.
My focus
I specialize in working with individuals who are navigating trauma, family relationships, domestic violence/intimate partner violence, depression, and anxiety. I am dedicated to creating a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their lived experiences and embark on a journey of growth and healing.
My communication style
Communication in our sessions will be open, honest, and rooted in mutual respect. I believe in the power of vulnerability and will strive to create a space where you feel comfortable sharing your story. Together, we will work towards your goals at a pace that feels right for you.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to mental healthcare began with a deep desire to support others in their healing and growth. As a Chicanx individual raised in Los Angeles, I understand the importance of culturally responsive care and am committed to providing therapy that honors each client's unique background and experiences.
My goals for you
My goal for you is to feel heard, validated, and empowered in our sessions. I aim to provide you with the tools and insights needed to navigate life's challenges, heal from past experiences, and cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness and resilience. Together, we will work towards creating lasting, positive change in your life.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will take the time to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. I will listen intently to your story, discuss your goals for therapy, and collaborate with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. This initial meeting is an opportunity for you to ask questions, express any concerns, and get a sense of what our work together will entail.
