Hi there, I'm Fernando!

I work with trauma and complex trauma disorders, as well as performance issues in various settings.

My focus

I have experience working with children to older adults (65+), but I now typically work with clients ages 12 and up. I'm most comfortable treating conditions that involve anxiety or depressive symptoms, lack of motivation, history of trauma, or performance issues (school, sports, work, etc).

My approach

My approach uses components of DBT, CBT, and Psychodynamic interventions.

My communication style

My tone has been described as soft and gentle, but also direct. It is extremely important for you to feel safe and unjudged; however, I also want to remain direct in regard to staying focused on the goals of treatment.

My journey to mental healthcare

As an athlete, I always valued physical fitness, but I realized mental health specifically attracted me. I noticed my community had a desperate need for more mental health services. I want to promote health and fitness for my community and design an effective approach for a wide range of people.
