Hi there, I'm Moina!

I have spent my career working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. My personal interest and experience lie in first-generation concerns, medical stressors, and career stressors.

My focus

In my career, I have worked with various types of individuals. From mothers dealing with post-partum mood disorders to career criminals. I firmly believe in the therapeutic alliance, where there is trust and belief in therapy. Therapy is not successful for the passive individual and individuals looking for a quick solution.

My approach

The approach I use includes eclectic therapeutic modalities. I have experience in CBT, Jungian, and depth psychology.

I am empathetic, able to set boundaries, challenge, and guide individuals with compassion and respect.

My journey to mental healthcare

In my undergraduate studies, I was a Neuroscience major and double majored in Art History. It was while I was studying Art History that I was introduced to philosophies, archetypes, human experiences, and the understanding of the 'self'. I was turned onto Carl Jung, Freud, and other depth psychologists.

My goals for you

Firstly, the goal is established by the client, I simply coach, help clients see their patterns of behaviors and automatic thoughts. Goals will be set incrementally and able to be quantified.

Our first session

First setting will be an intake assessment where background and presenting 'problem' that precipitated coming to therapy will be identified.
