As a therapist, my practice is grounded in creating a safe space filled with compassion and authenticity. I am a BIPOC woman and therapist who believes in fostering awareness of each individual's intersectionality and examining cultural experiences as an integral part of the healing process.
My approach
My approach to therapy involves holding a safe space for clients to explore and discover solutions while recognizing patterns that are no longer serving them. I draw upon Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and a focus on self-esteem, positive reinforcement, and coping skills to help clients gain insight and achieve autonomy.
My focus
I specialize in working with individuals on issues such as anger management, anxiety, cultural stress, alcohol use, job stress, women's issues, self-esteem, relationship issues, learning disabilities, family conflict, and life transitions.
My communication style
My communication style aims to be compassionate, authentic, and person-centered. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard and supported.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was drawn to a career in mental healthcare through my experiences as a BIPOC woman and my passion for helping others gain insight into their personal narratives to foster growth and healing. I earned my Master of Social Work degree to build the skills needed to support individuals in their journeys.
My goals for you
My goal is for you to feel safe, supported, and empowered in our work together. I aim to help you recognize unhelpful patterns, gain new insights, build coping skills, and make meaningful changes to enhance your well-being and reach your full potential.
