My name is Meagan Robinson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and inclusive. Whether you’re looking to manage symptoms of anxiety or depression, navigate interpersonal relationship challenges or life transitions, or are hoping to navigate school or work difficulties successfully, I want to hold a space for you to explore your feelings and learn more about yourself in a non-judgmental way.
My approach
My theoretical approach is integrative and holistic in order to adapt to the unique needs of each individual I work with. My theoretical approaches include Cognitive, Behavioral, Psychosocial Developmental, and Family Systems Theory.
My focus
I have experience working in direct practice with children, adolescents, adults, and families since I began my clinical experience in 2016. My current work is focused on supporting adults at various ages and developmental stages with developing skills and navigating life challenges to support them in achieving a well-balanced day-to-day life.
My communication style
I strive to promote a calm and non-judgmental environment during sessions while meeting you where you are. My role is to listen and reflect before supporting you with exploring tools to support your growth while you explore your strengths, challenges, and life experiences. You are the expert on you, and you already have the answers within yourself. I'm just here to help you find them!
My goals for you
I approach goal-setting in a collaborative way from the beginning of treatment. My hope is to make goal-setting an empowering process to ensure you have a sense of agency throughout your mental health journey.
My first session with you
During the initial assessment, my goal is to, first and foremost, get to know the person who is taking the brave step to learn more about themselves. I'll review the purpose of the initial assessment, ask questions to get to know why you're seeking therapy and what you're looking to work on, collaboratively formulate a treatment plan, and answer any questions you have prior to a future session(s) in an effort to build a foundation for treatment.
