I have worked in the mental health field since May 2000. I am well-versed in various theoretical approaches, however my focus has always been client-centered. LMFT 51224.

I have extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, marital issues, and communication issues. I am comfortable and experienced working with various clientele.

My approach

The most common approaches are Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and Gestalt.

My communication style

I take a validating stance with all my clients. I believe I am affirming, warm, and accepting. I am direct and honest and hold clients accountable during sessions, and if and when homework is assigned.

My passion has always been helping others achieve their potential by learning new skills, improving communication, and connecting with others in a meaningful way. This type of personal investment is the most valuable, and it is an honor to meet and treat individuals who are ready for this journey.

The goal-setting process for me has always been a collaborative one. The goals are based on what the client needs and the outcomes they want to see for their individualized treatment.

During the first session, I want to hear about the client's needs, what has worked before, and if they have experienced therapy in the past. I utilize the first few sessions to build rapport and a strong therapeutic alliance.
