My focus

I have the most experience working with adults and teens dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, poor self-esteem, and coping with life transitions.

My approach

I use concepts of Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Supportive Therapy. These approaches help you build coping skills, strengthen self-esteem, and create healthier patterns.

My communication style

I am an optimist—supportive, positive, and empathetic. My clients feel accepted, not judged, and able to talk about difficult issues. My approach is relaxed and comfortable.

My journey to mental healthcare

I entered social work because I wanted to help people. Key concepts guide me: self-determination, respect for each person's journey, and walking alongside clients to overcome obstacles in a non-judgmental way. I believe each individual is an expert on themselves.

I follow your lead with goal setting. I listen to why you began therapy and what you want to achieve. I ask questions and possibly make suggestions to help you define your goals and realistic steps to reach them.

My goal for our first session is for us to get to know each other and for you to determine if I'm a good fit. I'll ask what you're looking for in therapy and help you define some goals. I'll explain confidentiality and its limits.
