My focus

All clients are welcome. My experience in the educational mental health field has allowed me to work with a huge variety of clients. My specialty is LGBTQIA+ counseling with clients of all ages.

My approach

Therapeutically, I like to walk alongside my client toward reaching their mental health, wellness, and life goals. Typically, we will work within the scope of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Reality Therapy (WDEP): meditation and other wellness areas are explored as desired.

The environment we will create together is encouraging and welcoming. It is designed to be a safe place to explore, express, and move toward life goals in a meaningful way.

My journey to mental healthcare

As a new teacher, I quickly realized that the mental health and wellness of my students were a priority over their academic success. This realization is what fueled my forward momentum into counseling.

We will share a ‘getting to know you’ conversation that will lead us down the initial assessment road. Our goal-setting and work will evolve as sessions continue.
