My passion is to assist individuals in overcoming debilitating symptoms, destructive behaviors, poor boundaries, and/or negative thoughts processes to help improve navigating daily living and achieve quality of life by engaging them in processing, introspection/reflection, exploration, problem-solving, and empowerment.

I use a person-centered and trauma-informed care approach to create a welcoming and genuine space where the client feels, seen, heard, and understood.

My journey to mental healthcare

Being a therapist was not my top career choice when I initially graduated from my MSW program, because I had 8 years of case management experience in social services and got used to fast paced work. However; after I started working as a therapist in a clinic and saw clients recovering from our work, I realized it was my calling.

My goals for you

Treatment goals are mutually established and tailored to client's needs, strengths, and cultural factors. I view myself as the co-pilot of this process who strongly believes in the capacity and resiliency of my clients all while respecting their self-determination and dignity.

Our first session

In the first session I focus mainly on engagement and building rapport by greeting my clients, getting to know them, introducing myself, and forming a genuine therapeutic alliance.
