Hi there, I'm Patricia!

My name is Patricia Peloso, Licensed Marriage and Family therapist in Laguna Niguel, California. I offer brief and long-term models of therapy, online, and face-to-face. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

My approach

I am trained in Psychodynamic, Humanistic/Client-Centered, Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Buddhist Psychology, Brief and Solution Focused Therapy, Transpersonal and Clinical Hypnotherapy, and Mindfulness Meditation. I use an integrative and holistic approach, looking at all areas that are affecting your life including lifestyle, health, and upbringing.

My focus

I work with a variety of clients both online and in my private practice, ranging from children, adolescents, adults, individuals, couples, & families. I utilize an integrative and holistic approach to counseling bringing the most benefit to the client through individualized treatment.

My communication style

I am an eclectic and interactive therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help you effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each person. My approach is supportive and active where a person is able to explore issues, discover inner strengths, and begin to develop a strong foundation to continue growing and understanding their true potential. Using a brief and effective approach to treatment when needed that empowers clients to have more rewarding relationships and careers.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been the person that people talk to about their problems. I have the ability to really hear someone and provide compassion and insight. I have learned through my experience in life that we all need support and to feel accepted and safe. I naturally embrace that and feel moved to continue to help others find their place in the world.

My goals for you

Through my experience, I discovered that building a supportive relationship through therapy creates a safe place to explore life issues, understand difficult situations, learn new skills, enrich relationships, and work through situations that lead to a more authentic life. I believe that most people know how they want to liveā€”but often need some guidance in getting there. I have found that people have the knowledge to heal themselves when they are assisted with getting out of their own way, and rediscovering who they are, and what is meaningful for them.

My first session with you

We start by exploring current issues, how you think you arrived at this place, what you want, and take inventory of your current circumstances.
