My name is Randa Saleh and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Southern California and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with clients of all ages and different walks of life. My focus areas of practice are trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, family conflicts, and personal life transitions.
My approach
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy. My intention is to help my clients gain positive coping skills, insight into what they are experiencing, and provide them with the tools that they need to start feeling better.
My focus
I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for individuals of all ages. I consider their age, cultural upbringing, diagnosis, and what they want to work on in therapy. I typically work with adults. I have helped many individuals with different mental health disorders varying from Post-traumatic stress disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Schizophrenia, and other Personality Disorders.
My communication style
My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel safe and comfortable to talk to me about anything. I am a great listener and I listen without judgement.
My journey to mental healthcare
I decided to become a therapist because I have always been naturally drawn to helping people through difficult times, whether it was a family member, a loyal friend, or a neighbor; I was the one that others came to in their time of distress and turmoil. This led me to further explore my personal strengths and it geared me towards the Psychology field during my college years. Now, I am here and absolutely love what I do. I feel grateful for the opportunity to be able to serve others through my work and truly enjoy seeing individuals become the best versions of themselves.
My goals for you
My approach to goal setting with clients is collaborative and I take the time to explore what it is that you would like to accomplish during our time together. This often starts by building trust between us and getting comfortable with what it means to be in therapy. Over time, we’ll work together to set goals and track your progress.
My first session with you
What you can expect from our first session together is for us to spend the majority of the time talking about how you’ve been feeling recently, what you would like to get out of therapy, and providing you the space to tell your story.
