My communication style

I'm funny, personable, honest, empathetic, challenging, motivating, and direct when you need to get out of your own way or change lanes. I may hurt your feelings because change hurts and the truth hurts, but I'm on your team. I keep it simple, which is profoundly enlightening, and ground zero is a safe space to start.

My journey to mental healthcare

I grew up with childhood issues that affected my mental health. I became a counselee and found that if someone could help me reverse negative thoughts, that's what I wanted to help others do. There is nothing more powerful than assisting people in understanding who they are, why they do what they do, and how to become their best selves.

My goals for you

My treatment goals are always client-centered and autonomous. I provide psychoeducation, self-help, explorative activities, and techniques to help you feel safe and learn to trust yourself. Together, we'll form a therapeutic alliance where we learn triggers, healthy coping skills, emotional regulation, and mindfulness to reach your personal goals.

Our first session

The first session is a get-to-know-one-another where we assess connection, build trust, and identify if your needs are within my expertise. We'll explore whether additional consultations or referrals are needed. You'll be asked if you want to move forward with me or explore working with another therapist.
